Granger and Sons BBQ in Lakeland

Our first trip and it took a minute or two to figure out the ordering/seating process but it was very well worth it. I had one of the very best steaks of my life! It was juicy, flavorful and tender. We are still stuffed and can't wait to go back!

If you've read any of my reviews you know I'm all about the atmosphere, and this place is secretly awesome! It's marvelous to listen to the locals talk about getting millings while they're standing in line watching each of the people in front of them order massive amounts of ribs. When I was there they had some sort of shindig going on in the back and a lot of people under a tent really looking like they were having a great time. I would definitely put this on your list, and the ribs are absolutely awesome!

Good food nice prices only reason I gave them four stars instead of five is because they only deal in cash no debit or credit cards and no atm...

One of my favorites to go to when in the area for lunch. Just be sure to get there early because they sell out of food quickly. You'll definitely want to try potato salad and the coleslaw as sides. Be careful with the hot sauce that you'll find on the tables though... That packs a punch.

Possibly the best porterhouse and BBQ I've ever eaten. Even the baked potato was superb.

First trying them today. OMG! Best BBQ in the area! We had the pork sandwich plate, beans & slaw. Everything EXCELLENT! I understand why and how they sell out every day! A must have in Lakeland!

After seeing the review on channel 13, I drove from Brandon for some bar-be-cue. Got there two hours before closing only to be told they were out of bar-be-cue. All they had was steak. If I wanted steak there were a lot of closer restaurants. Don't think I'll be going back any time soon.

My favorite bbq, awesome guys that own the place, just a great place to eat. My daughter won’t eat ribs anywhere but at Grangers.

The meat was not smoked. Just sliced pork with no flavor. Baked beans were straight out of the can. The potato salad was good. Definitely not what I would consider a BBQ restraunt.

Had the steak! The best on this side of town. Best price too! The staff are friendly and helpful. It's like home cooking. One of the best mom and pop places around.

Average BBQ spot. Beans are sweet, potato salad is eggy and mustardy. Ribs are crunchy but good, it’s not a not fall off the bone good but it works if you are hungry

This is the place to go for down-home BBQ! Family owned and operated by the Noles, it's a local treasure! Be sure to taste their daily specials outside of their already Fabulous sliced pork and baby back ribs! They have the BEST potato salad & Cole slaw in Polk County, hands down! Then wash it down with a refreshing, ice cold sweet tea. You won't regret it!

Just left the location, super fast customer service . The place smelt like home style food and just gave off a great vibe. Sat down at work to eat my lunch. Hefty portion of food. The coleslaw is just the dopest slaw around. The ribs will deff make you want to slap your momma. Would highly recommend this establishment.

Been twice, so good!!!! Woke both kids up from a nap to go inside before they closed, and the older man offered to hold my sleeping son while I ate! Awesome owners!

I love this place!! Best steaks ever! When we have visitors from out of town, we get steaks to-go. Everyone loves their steak. It’s a plus that this is family owned and not a chain. My favorite steak is the ribeye. It’s always juicy and tastes amazing. You usually get a potato, salad, and roll with your steak. If you’re debating on whether or not to try this place, just do it. You won’t be sorry. Just make sure you get there early enough or order ahead, they tend to run out of steaks.... it’s a popular place for a reason.

Good pork but not a great porterhouse

Amazing porterhouse perfectly cooked medium rare. Very friendly family owned and operated. Go early because they will run out of meat. It's that good!

Some of the best steak and barbecue you will ever eat! Unique ambiance, no frills, down home atmosphere. Open weekdays for lunch only. Steak served only on Friday and Saturday nights. Go and enjoy - you will not be disappointed!

I've been going to just please just back in the late nineties or somewhere around now I just been away for awhile in and out live in that area one time but they would always one of the best place that I can go to get barbecue and enjoy some good eating I decide to go back down there a few days ago and see what they still left and you know what I am totally satisfied and I thank you hopefully one day I can go out there and hang out with them when they do the catfish thing I just got to remember when it's being done but there's a great place for me I don't know about everybody else but man delancey's about you I got from them was great

This family place is awesome! The T-bone steak was cooked perfectly, tender and delicious!

My son and I eat here at least once a week! The food is great and Granger and his sons are awesome!

Went on a Friday for steak night. Steak was cooked perfectly and baked potato was good as well. Excellent ribs also. Very friendly staff. Would definitely recommend and will go back.

Granger and Sons barbecue is a must stop if you are in the area. They cook until they run out of meat daily so you better get there early if you want to be sure to get something. The rib-eye kabobs are heavenly and the ribs are the best in the area. Potato salad, BBQ beans and slaw are the sides offered and they are all GOOD. I would give this place 6 stars if they had it. They have outstanding customer service with a family touch that keeps me coming back.

If you can get there early enough before they sell out of there sell out food you will be happy you came and indulged in their quality barbecue sandwiches the ribs their steaks Friday and Saturday come early or be left out

Another lovely example of home town quality and fair pricing when it comes to dining out. I always have the pulled pork or a steak and neither fails to disappoint. I recommend this location simply based off the service and portion sizes. The fixin's and menu is very limited but they will surely fill you up and want to return. Not a boxed chain restaurant, just family owned and operated.

The beef is always well cooked and tender. The sauce is just absolutely amazing! Recommended!

Went in on a Friday night. ..toughest steak I have ever tasted. .. period. ... but they didn't want to hear about it. They wasn't about to except what I was saying. .. it was all in my mind. ... tasted like a Sam's Club steak. ... Walmart steaks. .. don't go there. ..and I was more upset about there attitudes than the steak... they just couldn't of made a bad steak according to them. ... don't waste a good Friday night. ...

Had the rib eye excellent flavor and tender. Didn't get any bbq because they ran out. Next time I'll get there earlier. Bring CASH no cards accepted.
